Five ways Google Search can help with your home coffee routine
Google Search, with AI Mode, Lens and live video feedback in the app, can help you compare brewing methods, learn latte art, choose equipment and find nearby classes.
Compare brewing methods
Can't choose between French press, pour-over and cold brew? Open AI Mode in Search and ask it to compare the methods. For example, you can write: 'make a table comparing different coffee brewing methods by taste, ease of use and equipment needed'. You'll get a clear table to help you pick your method.
Recreate a latte design
Saw a nice latte art pattern at a café and want to make it at home? Take a photo with Lens in Search and ask: 'What do I need to do this at home?'. Search will explain what you need and which techniques to use, with links to expert sources from across the web.
Get real-time feedback
You can get advice while you pour milk by using your camera. Open the Google app on Android or iOS, tap the Live icon under the search bar, turn on your video and ask your question. The app looks at your cup and gives tips on your angle, speed and pour motion.
Set up your coffee corner
To choose equipment, you can use AI Mode. For example, an adjustable bean grinder that changes particle size for different brew methods, or an electric kettle with temperature settings. If you need it today, add 'nearby' or 'near me' to your search to see what's in stock in your area.
Find classes that fit your schedule
If you want in-person teaching, use Search to find local classes and workshops. Optionally, you can connect your Google apps through Personal Intelligence, and the search will suggest classes that fit your schedule.
